Aden Country Park website
Aden, often referred to as “the jewel in the Buchan crown” has been recognised as one of the country’s best green spaces with a prestigious Green Flag Award. The awards recognise and reward the best parks in the country and Aden impressed the judges with its excellent use of green space, well-maintained facilities and high standard of safety and security.
We were commissioned to produce a new identity for the Park, along with leaflets, way-finding panels and a website.

The design
It’s an impressively large site with a huge amount of information. We needed to ensure the site could be easily updated in-house so we have used a deep but simple to operate CMS (in this case Joomla).
We have created the site design by scratch only using the base of the CMS to avoid the site looking like it could be made for anyone. Each an every aspect of the layout as been configured and designed to suit.
The colour-scheme is light and approachable and uses a simple structure.
The site can be used in various ways. On the one hand it is full of historical and general information on the Park. On the other hand, it is frequently updated, so users can get to the latest events easily using the what’s on section.
