Aden Country Park placemaking

Aden, often referred to as “the jewel in the Buchan crown” has been recognised as one of the country’s best green spaces with a prestigious Green Flag Award. The awards recognise and reward the best parks in the country and Aden impressed the judges with its excellent use of green space, well-maintained facilities and high standard of safety and security.

We were commissioned to produce a new identity for the Park, along with leafletsway-finding panels and a website.

Hareshowe Panel

The Hareshowe panel is placed outdoors next to Hareshowe Farmhouse. It gives information on the history of the farm and the Barron Family who used to run the farm from the 1930’s all the way to the 1980’s when it was left to Aberdeenshire Council.

The Plinth map is shown outdoors in the centre of the Park – it shows an illustration of the buildings in the area with a key.

Museum floor-plan and information panel

The Farming Museum floor-plan is displayed at the entrance to the main building. It gives a key to the areas along with directions.

The Farming Museum information panel is shown at the front of the Museum entrance and gives some brief information on the exhibition itself.
