SAU – The Scottish Artists Union

OpenBoxDesign created a series of web banners for the Scottish Artists Union.
The design
Rather than focus on the artwork created by members of the union, we opted to look at the making of things – the essence of what an artist is as opposed to the outcome. We also incorporated a subtle colour-scheme into each banner with a key colour being reused within a layout – this has the advantage of separating sections visually.
Finally, we have manipulated the photographs to flow and blend into one another – they’re transient, fluid and kinetic in nature… reiterating the notion that the making of art is about constantly moving and growing.
