For the sixth successive year Sunil Vishin, Director at OpenBoxDesign was asked to be part of the panel at the graduate shows at Gray’s School of Art, Aberdeen.
Sunil was part of the group of artists, designers and university staff appointed to judge and retain work for the University’s own collection. Each award winner gets a healthy cash award to help them start their new careers in their chosen field.
Each and every year the student’s at Gray’s surprise me with their visual understanding, energy and maturity. This year was no exception with some truly outstanding work. I will always have a soft spot for Gray’s; unsurprising since I was once an undergraduate there myself and spent many years as a lecturer. By what I saw this year, Gray’s is in rude health, offering an ever increasing variety of choices whilst maintaining the quality of teaching and flair of a wonderful college.
